Maryland Cancer Plan

HPV Vaccine Subcommittee

In April of 2007 the Maryland General Assembly passed a law establishing a human papillomavirus vaccine (HPV) subcommittee in the Cervical Cancer Committee of the Maryland Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan.  The subcommittee membership includes representatives from various groups throughout the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia.  The Subcommittee is charged with researching the available vaccines, discussing their usage and implications in the State of Maryland and ultimately delivering recommendations for the use of the vaccines in Maryland.

During the course of the next year the committee will meet roughly every two months to review and discuss relevant information, views and legislation regarding HPV Vaccines.  Meeting dates, locations and times are posted on this website and are open to the public.
