Injury Prevention Coordinators Network
The Injury Prevention Coordinators (IPC) Network consists of representatives from each of the 24 local health departments. Through a modest investment of Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) Block Grant funds, important injury prevention activities are supported in communities throughout Maryland. These projects increase the capacity of local health departments to plan and deliver targeted injury prevention programs based on identified needs. The Center for Preventive Health Services, Injury Prevention and Epidemiology Division provides bi-annual training programs to build capacity in injury prevention science and program development, implementation and evaluation among the IPCs, as well as related local health department staff and their injury prevention partners.
