Maryland Loan Assistance Repayment Program - Janet L. Hoffman Loan Assistance Repayment Program

What is LARP?

LARP is a collaborative effort among state and federal entities that offers physicians an opportunity to practice their profession in a community that lacks adequate primary and/or mental health care services, while also paying off their educational loans. An eligible practice site is one operated by any federal, state, local governmental entity or a non-profit patient medical care facility that treats all persons regardless of ability to pay, and that is located in a geographic region of Maryland that has been designated as a health professional shortage area.
